Ben was born March 13, 1917 in Barber, Arkansas. Son of the late Felix Monroe Bobbitt and Martha Jane Hampton Bobbitt. He passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in Springfield, Tennessee. He was 95 years of age. Ben had many interests, he loved reading his Bible, he also loved farming, fishing, gardening, his collection of old cars and trucks and espically loving his family and enjoying his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ola Frances Bobbitt. Survived by wife, Wanda Jean Bobbitt; three sons, Dwayne F. Bobbitt of Lincoln, CA, Dwight F. Bobbitt of Greenbrier, TN, Donnie Ray Bobbitt of Goodlettsville, TN; daughter Violet "June" Casey of Lincoln, CA; eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren. Ben was a member of Christian Gospel Temple where services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 24th with Bro. Steve Farmer officiating. Family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will follow at Robertson County Memorial Gardens in Springfield, Tennessee. Serving as pallbearers will be Doug Dirks, Dustin Dirks, Brandon Dirks, Ted Anderson, Tristin Anderson and Dave Schmidt. Visitation Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Austin & Bell White House Chapel and one hour prior to service at Christian Gospel Temple on Saturday.
