Funeral Services Were held here Thursday afternoon at the Methodist church for George Washington Berry who passed away April 3rd at his home 3 miles north of town. Mr. Berry was eighty six and one-half years of age and leaves to mourn his going his wife and eleven children as follows: Mrs. Bessie Moore, Grady M. Berry, Bedford Berry, Mrs. Leila V. Gist, Gus Berry, Olive Berry all of Texhoma, Okla.; Mrs. Annie L. Coate of Oklahoma City, Arnold Berry, of Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Ola Mae Freeman, of Dalhart, Texas; Mrs. Gaitha Needham of Alva, Okla.; Mrs. Hazel L. Roberts of Culver City, Calif. All the members of the family were present. Mr. Berry has 26 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Words of comfort were spoken by Rev. R. D. Dodd of Boise City, and old time friend of the family and a former pastor of the Baptist church here. He was assisted by Rev. J. A. Anderson, pastor of the Baptist church here and Rev. Marvin Brotherton, Pastor of the Methodist church. Pallbearers were Messrs. Cliff Johnson, Alfred Stiles H. H. Johnson, Earl McDaniels, Kinley. Cope and Oscar Comelson. Honorary Pallbearers were Messrs. Harry Vincent, O. S. Johnson, Lewie Walls and Wes Harvey. Interment was made in the Texhoma Cemetery with the Dawson Mortuary in charge.
