Mr. Adolfo Costilla, 65, of Devine, died in his home on Tuesday, September 17, 1968. He had lived in Devine for 40 years.
He was born May 15, 1903 in Cactus, Webb County, Texas. He was married to the former Maria Lerma April 18, 1924 in Taylor. She preceded him in death. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Concepcion Costilla.
Surviving are one son, Rudy Costilla, of Devine; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Three sisters also survive; Mrs. Manuel Solis and Miss Dora Costilla of Austin, and Mrs. Joe Pompa of Devine.
Rosary was recited Thursday at the Hurley Chapel.
Requiem Mass was celebrated Friday morning in St. Joseph's Catholic Church of which he was a member. Father Winfred Passchyn officiated.
Interment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Pallbearers were George Fernandez, Manuel Murillo, Leonardo Navarro, Trinidad Rodriquez, Frank Costilla and Alberto Costilla.
