Funeral services were held Monday, August 23, for Sarah Deppe, 85, Scales Mound, Ill., at the Centenary United Methodist Church in Shullsburg. Mrs. Deppe died Friday at the Hazel Green Hospital. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. The Thompson-Haudenshield Funeral Home, Shullsburg, was in charge. Her husband, William, died in 1941.
Surviving are a son: Charles Deppe, route 2 Shullsburg; 11 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Ernest Eliza) Weiskircher, Shullsburg. [The Republican Journal, Darlington, Wis., Thur., Aug 26, 1982].
