Also served in War of 1812 and in Indian Wars, including war with Florida Indians 1812-1814 (Red Stick War?) and Cherokee War 1837-1838 (2nd Seminole War). Possibly buried at Notchey Creek Cemetery. Father of Leander J. Garren who also served in the Mexican War.
