Frances Lavelle Foster, 71, died Wednesday, January 9, 2002, at St. Dominic's-Jackson Memorial Hospital. Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today at Stringer Funeral Home in Hazlehurst. Services are 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with burial in Bethel Cemetery.
Mrs. Foster was a member of Westside Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Survivors include: her husband of 53 years, Clarence Foster; sons, John Foster of Purvis and Larry Foster of Terry; daughter, Betty Martin of Atlanta; brothers, Gerald Davis of Clinton and Carroll Davis of Georgetown; sisters, Doris Waldeisen and Dot Marie Gillis, both of Hazlehurst, Diane Thedford of Brookhaven and Janie Edwards of Wesson; and five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and two step-great-grandchildren.
