BIO: ALZINA HILL:
Alzina was the first child and daughter of Rebecca (Woodruff) Hill and Labon Hill. She was born in Jackson County near Rock Castle, West Virginia, March 29, 1830. She married John Wesley Sayre, 19 April 1849. They had two boys. Labon Sayre, born 1852; died 1936, Daniel Boone (Coon) Sayre, born Feb.13,1857; died Aug.11,1937 (80 years, 5 months); m. (firstly) Nancy King; m. (secondly) Ruth Sayre.
After the early death of John Wesley Sayre, Alzina or (Elzinnia, as found in "GEHO" records) Hill Sayre married Joshua Shinn. About 1876 they bought the Labon Hill home place, than owned by Rachel Jane (Kimberling) Hill and Enoch Hill who was moving to Kansas. Alzine and Joshua had six children.
