Geneva M. Woodard, 84, of Lebanon, died April 2, 2008, in Parkwood Health Care Center. She was born March 5, 1924, in Hendricks County, Indiana to the late Jesse & Ora [Heiston] Vaughn. After graduating from Lizton High School, she married the late Homer Clay Woodard on Dec. 19, 1942, a union that lasted 60 loving years. Geneva spent most of her time in Boone County and she attended New Brunswick Church of Christ. She enjoyed her grandchildren and spending time outdoors.
She is survived by daughter Carolyn, son Robert, and her sister, Phyliss. She was preceded in death by sisters Arlene Brownlee and Anna Lee Martin and a brother, Kenneth Vaughn.
Friends & family will gather from 4 until 8 pm Friday at Drury & Leppert Mortuary, 2004 N. Lebanon St, Lebanon. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the mortuary. Internment will follow in the Old Union Cemetery, Jamestown.
