Note: His tombstone states he was born in 1872 however his WWI draft reg. states May 11, 1873. Since he signed the draft card you would think he would know when his birthdate was. Further verification of the 1873 birth year is found in: "The People Came, The Osborn County Genealogical and Historical Society, Osborne, KS 67473; The Osborne County Farmer, Publisher, Osborne, KS; 1977; pg. 362." This manuscript contains a bio for Jonathan W. Addison and states in part "Three children were born to them: Arthur L. born in 1873...."

A. L. Addison, 534 E Street, died at 4:30 o'clock this morning. He lived in Oxnard for six years, and was 47 years old. He is survived by the wife and eight children; Fred, William, Charley, Ethel, Ailey and Bertha and two step children - Mrs. Ora Hill and Mrs. Ben Mesmer, Santa Barbara.

Arthur was the son of Jonathan and Margaret (Linn) Addison. He grandparents were Andrew Jr. and Barbara (Leathers) Linn; great grandparents Andrew and Martha (Polk) Linn. Arthur's two siblings were Fred Sylvester and Dora E. (m. Samuel Hibbs) Addison.

Arthur married Elizabeth "Lizzie" VanBuskirk April 17, 1892 in Kansas. They had seven children; Winnie, Fred, William Walter, Charles "Charley" Jack, Ethel (m. Edward Henck), Arley, and Bertha Francis (m. Unknown Fritz, Vernon McGilland Stacy and Charles Ferris) Addison.
