Bloid, 48 died in an auto accident. Authorities stated it appeared that Thompson missed a curve driving to Patterson on West Main. It is surmised he was driving at a high speed and that his vehicle left the road and landed in a ditch. His body was laying near the car. He was a native of Minnesota but lived in Patterson for 30 years. He worked as an electrician for Patterson Canning Co. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Thompson and a brother, Harry Thompson both from Modesto; another brother, Julian Thompson and sister, Mrs. Opal Skaug of Sacramento, and sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Knox of Turlock and Mrs. Ilo Engen of Patterson.
