OBITUARY, The Plainview News, 28 June 1972, page 1: Funeral services for Allan Edward Grace of Plainview were held at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday June 28, in the Friends Church at Plainview with the Rev. Robert E. Favre, Jr., pastor of the United Methodist Church here, officiating. Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery near Plainview. Ashburn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Allan Edward Grace, son of Isaac and Luella Ann Ginglas Grace, was born at Avoca, Iowa, on August 13, 1895, and passed away on Sunday, June 25, in the Plainview Hospital at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 12 days. Mr. Grace served with the U.S. Army during World War 1 and received an honorable discharge in 1918. Following his service duty, he was employed in various types of work. He was united in marriage on September 17, 1920, to Cecelia Mary Kelleher. Nine children were born to this union, including Eugene of Sioux City, Iowa; Jackson of Houston, Texas; Dale of Sumner, Washington; James of Milford, Michigan; Allen of Payette, Idaho; Mrs. Rite Wulfe of San Fernando, California; Mrs. Frances Hunt of Omaha; Mrs. Luanne Hurlbut of Gretna, Nebraska; and Mary Davis of Willow Springs, Missouri. His wife, Cecelia, passed away in November 1964. On July 29, 1965, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Mary J. Jacobsen of Plainview.He accepted his Lord as his Savior in 1965. Survivors include his wife, Mary; his children; grandchildren, four stepsons; and many other relatives and friends.
