Dorothy was the daughter of Jacob Adams and Ann Allan (aka Alden or Ellen). She married Richard Austin Jan 12, 1698 at Suffield. Dorothy was said to be a cousin of Presidents John and John Qunicy Adams.

- Dorothy Austin (b. July 26, 1701);
- Jacob Austin (b. 1 June 1704, d. Aug. 28, 1773);
- Ebenezer Austin (April 22, 1706);
- Anna Austin (b. Jan. 16, 1708/9, d. April 23, 1779);
- Joseph Austin (b. Jan. 26, 1710/11, d. Jan. 27, 1792 - married Abigail Allan - see link below);
- Rebecca Austin (b. April 16, 1713);
- Moses Austin (b. April 25, 1716, d. 1762);
- Elias Austin (b. April 14, 1718, d. Oct 14, 1776).

The site of Dorothy's grave is not recorded, but doubtless she was buried near her husband in the old cemetery.
