Daughter of Daniel and Polly Perkins. Married Asa Foster Knox (1814-1901) on 10-13-1836 in Fairfield, Somerset Co., Me.
Children are Daniel Perkins Knox (1838-1895), Marietta Knox Highfield (1840-1913), Sumner Bean Knox (1844-1926), James Thomas Knox (1847-1911), Lydia Elsina Knox Brown (1851-1932), Asa La Van Knox (1853-1938), Ellen M. Knox (1854-1871) and Elmira E. Knox (1859-1860).

Obituary notice:
Mrs. Elmira Knox died Sunday at her home in Upper Keithsburg. Deceased was born
in Fairfield, Maine, August 10, 1815. She was united in marriage with Asa F.
Knox October 13, 1836. To them eight children were born five of whom remain
with her aged husband to mourn the lose of a kind mother and wife. Besides
these she leaves 51 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren. The funeral was
held from the United Brethern church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, cunducted by
her pastor, Rev. Overton. Grandmother Knox has more than completed the allotted
three score years and ten she has done her part in life faithfully and well and
was ready for the entrance into the eternal city.
