Versa T. Ard Garner, 80, West Ky. 80, Nancy, died yesterday at Humana Hospital Lake Cumberland following a long illness.

She was born in the Bud community, Wayne County, January 2, 1908, the daughter of the late Charlie B. and Lou E. Tarter Ard. She was a member of Chesterview Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, William W. Garner, whom she married June 11, 1937, at Campbellsville; three sons, Roy Lee and Billy Ray Garner, both of Somerset, and Charles Prate Garner, Hodgensville; three daughters, Inez L. Combs and Barbara Lou Pierce, both of Somerset, and Betty Jo Pierce, Nancy; a brother, Otha Lee Ard, Nancy; two sisters, Elsie B. Cain, Somerset, and Zella E. Dick, Hamilton, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Chester M. Garner; a son, Floyd Prate Garner; and a daughter, Wilma Iris Garner.

Services will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Chesterview Baptist Church with Elder Walter Jones and the Rev. Bobby Clark officiating.

Burial will be in Chesterview Cemetery.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at Pulaski Funeral Home.
