Following from 50+ year DeLong researcher the late John D. Baldwin III:
1741 - (Frans DeLong) married by this time Catherine Dymant, no doubt the Catrina bpt. Poughkeepsie to Edward Dymant and wife Christina Schneider. Catrina was perhaps bpt. June 1, 1725; the Poughkeepsie register cuts off on this date for a 13-year break and it is hard to tell whether numerous baptisms were on it or in following weeks.
I suggest that Edwand Dymant (Dimond, Dimon, Dijmarid -etc) was the Edward Dimon bpt. Marblehead Mass; Sept 11, 1687, son of Edward and Rebecca (Norman) Dimon who is also found -as Dimant, Dimond, Diamond). See Founders of Marblehead for ancestry.
Christina Schneider was prob. born Spring 1702, the daughter of Johann Jost Schneider and wife Anna Elisabetha Lohmeyer. See H. Z. Jones' "Palatine Families of NY 1710" and his subsequent "More Palatine Families etc." for their ancestry.
1742 - son bpt. Fishkill.
1744 - daughter bpt. per records of NYC Lutheran Church. Perhaps Frans was on his way out of Dutchess Co. his last tax record was Jan/Feb. 1743/4 though perhaps it is more likely that this baptism was performed in Dutchess by a circuit pastor.
