Mrs. Edith May O'Brien of 1640 W. Austin Street, Paris, TX, died at 12:40 p.m., Monday, November 27, 1978 at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Services were at 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 29, at Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Semple officiating. Burial was in Meadowbrook Cemetery. Mrs. O'Brien was born November 14, 1918, in Kaufman County, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Buie. She married Allie M. O'Brien on January 1, 1939. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was a retired teacher. She was a member of the Knife and Fork Club, the Business and Professional Women, Delta Kappa Gamma, and the Texas Teachers Society. Survivors include her husband; a son, Bradley O'Brien of Round Rock; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (May) Russ of Texarkana; three half brothers, Griffin Odom of Lubbock, William Odom of Crosbyton and Francis Odom of Big Lake; two sisters, Mrs. Allen Mize of Crosbyton and Mrs. Willard Moses of Ralls; a stepsister, Mrs. Alton Aimsworth of Bledsoe; and five grandchildren.
