Emma Ruth passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at Odyssey Hospice in Amarillo.
She was born September 30, 191 in Kaufman County, Texas to the late James Bradley and Ida Mae (Bates) Buie. On February 27, 1936 she married Willie Allen Mize in Ralls, Texas. He preceded her in death on January 9, 1994.
She was a member of the Church of Christ, garden club and quilting club. She was a graduate of Texas Tech University.
She is preceded in death by a daughter; Pat Nickson on September 19, 1984, a son, Wilburn Allen Mize on October 26, 1988 and a sister Bernice Moses on December 27, 2005.
Survivors include; five grandchildren, Alan (Cindy) Nickson of Amarillo, Mark (Terri) Nickson of Canyon, Donna Sims (Doug) of Amarillo, Monty (Tammy) Mize of Oregon, Amy (Trey) Davis of Keller, 14 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be; Alan Nickson, Mark Nickson, Monty Mize, Doug Sims, Trey Davis, DonMark Nickson, Scott Nickson and Josh Sims. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be, Don Nickson and the Elders of the Crosbyton Church of Christ.
The family suggests memorials to White River Youth Camp P. O. Box 455 Crosbyton, Texas 79322.
