William Edwards
b. August 27, 1822 in Adair co., Kentucky, came to Sangamon co. in 1837/8 with his brothers, James Jordon and Elcey. He was m. October 18, 1840, Sangamon co., to Mary Burton. They had ten children; five died under the age of three years. The both were members of Presbyterian church. Both buried at Loami, Twp., McDevitt cemetery, William d. March 31, 1877, age 54 y, 7m & 4d. - Mary, b., December 21, 1822, in Tennessee was the dau. of Edward & Francis (Hudson) Burton, was and lived to be sixty five years old when she d. in c1887.
