She came to the USA from Bessarabia, Russia, as a young girl with her parents, Wilhelm & Katharina Martin Schroeder. While at school in Boyd county, NE, she met her husband, Christian Grueneich. They were married on 10 Oct 1897 in Naper, NE. They homesteaded in Alberta, Canada & then returned to Power county, ID for the 1910 census. After Christian's death in 1919 in American Falls, ID, she was married secondly to Phillip Wenz, whom she later divorced. In her later years, she lived with her daughter, Martha Grueneich Lyda. She died in Nampa, Canyon county, ID on 26 May 1963.
