"Adam Bollinger, 78, was a farmer

Adam B. Bollinger, a longtime farmer who lived at 154 Westbrook Drive, Ephrata, died at home Monday afternoon after a three-month illness. He was 78.


He was the husband of Eva W. Good Bollinger, with whom he marked their ninth anniversary on March 30. He had been married to Elizabeth Mae Buffenmyer Bollinger, who died in 1982.


Bollinger was employed most recently with Gehman's Feed Mill, retiring in 1981. From 1936 to 1967, he was a farmer.


A member of Middle Creek Church of the Brethren, he was a former cemetery trustee for the church.


He was a member of Lincoln Friendly Circle, and he enjoyed camping and traveling.


Born in Clay Township, he was the son of the late Norman and Katie Burkholder Bollinger.


He is survived by his wife; three sons, Glenn E., E. James, and Raymond C., all of Ephrata; a daughter, Martha J., wife of Glenn E. Summy, Ephrata; and four stepdaughters, Faye Deemer, Ephrata; Joanne, wife of Harvey Buzzard, and Elaine, wife of Willis Buzzard, both of New Holland R1, and Gerri Wenger, Ronks.


Also surviving are nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild; 17 stepgrandchildren; 14 stepgreatgrandchildren; and a brother, Paul B., of Myerstown.
