Mrs. Hilda Bell Gallagher, 60, 62 Malby Avenue, died in Ogdensburg at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 1973.

She had been in failing health for the past year.

Mrs. Gallagher is survived by one daughter Mrs. Walter (Merilyn) Smith, Massena; one stepson, Peter Gallagher, Chicago, IL; four grandchildren, one step grandchild, one great grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Leon (Inez) Radel, Massena.

Born in Ottawa April 5, 1912, Mrs. Gallagher was the daughter of William and Rose Collins Bell. The family came to Massena when she was young and she was graduated from Massena High School and Albany State College. For many years she worked at Massena Operations of Alcoa, mainly on IBM machines.

Her first husband was the late William Gilmore, and her second husband, the late Alfred Gallagher, who died in 1965.

Mrs. Gallagher was a member of the Women of the Moose, a member of the Sacred Heart League and a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
