DR. VINTON H. RITCHEY DIES AT CARLISLE HOME
Carlisle, Nov. 4 -- Services for Dr. Vinton Henry Ritchey, 89, who conducted a drugstore here for fifty-seven years and who died Saturday, will be held at 3 p.m. today at the home, 29 North Hanover street. Burial will be in Westminster Mausoleum, the Rev. Harry L. Saul officiating.
Dr. Ritchey, a native of Bedford, came here 58 years ago and opened a drugstore, the Bee Hive, at 2 North Hanover street. Two years later he removed his business to 29 North Hanover street and made his home there. He retired a year ago.
Dr. Ritchey attended Williamsport Seminary and the Baltimore College of Physicians and Surgeons. He was a member of First Lutheran Church.
Surviving are two sons, George E. and Jacob Ritchey, both of Carlisle, and a daughter, Miss Irene Ritchey, at home; two grandchildren and two brothers, Daniel Ritchey, of Carlisle, and Herman Ritchey, of Philadelphia.
