Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer (Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois), Friday, April 18, 1941:
   Conrad Rehg, 85 years and eight months of age, died here Thursday evening at 5 o'clock. Mr. Rehg was a resident of Edwardsville for the past 50 years.
   He was formerly employed by the Madison Coal Corp., and also by the City of Edwardsville.
   One sister, Mrs. Weiler of Glen Carbon, and a number of other more distant relatives survive. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Rehg, who died 20 years ago.
   Funeral services will be held from the Straube Funeral Home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Services will be conducted by the Rev. H.J. Bredehoeft at the funeral home. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery at Belleville.
