Bobbye Ballinger Asaff, 90, of Waco, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 8, at Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit, with Father John Wells officiating. Burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, January 7, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home.

Bobbye was born in Burkburnett, Texas, to the late Samuel Oconee and Maude Houston Ballinger. While she was a student at Stephen F. Austin College, she met John Asaff. He was member of the football team, and she was a cheerleader and a member of the tennis team, a sport she loved and played until 86 years of age. Bobbye was a lifelong Episcopalian and a founding member of Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit in Waco.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Asaff; and brothers, Ollie and T. O. Ballinger.

She is survived by loving sons, Kevin Asaff and Dudley Asaff, both of Waco, and Coby Asaff and wife, Paula, of Southlake, Texas; six grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
