Mrs. Alice L. Skeen, 97, of Ripley, formerly of Fletcher, Jackson County, died Oct. 19, 1991, in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, of a short illness.
She was a homemaker and retired postmaster from Fletcher. She was a member of the Goshen Baptist Church, Kentuck. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Ripley.
Surviving: sons, Paul of Welcome NC, Donald of Harrisburg, Arkansas, Neal of Mount Vernon, Ohio; daughter, Doris Poling of Kenna; half-sister, Ruth Kessel of Phoenix, Arizona; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Service was held Monday at Parsons Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. Chester Bird officiating. Burial was in Goshen Church Cemetery, Kentuck.
