Picture of Ida Flagler that appeared in the 15 Nov 1909 edition of the Atlanta Constitution, on page 2. It accompanied a small article titled "Insane Ex-Wife of H. M. Flagler Hurt in Auto." The article stated that Mrs. Flagler was the former Ida Shourds of Philadelphia, had been a beautiful young lady, and married Mr. Flagler in 1883. Shortly afterwards however, she lost her reason. Her husband finally was allowed to divorce her in 1901. At the time of the accident, she was with her custodian, a Dr. Carlos F. MacDonald.
