Between 1952-1970, Louise worked for the State of New Jersey in the Department of Insurance and Banking, at the Statehouse in Trenton. In the 1960s, she began going down in the archives during her lunch hour and researching her Heath Ancestors. It became a passion that resulted in 1977 the publication of the "Descendants of Andrew Heath (1667-1720)". Her work has been used by others researching their connection to Andrew.
