-----

During a Quapaw Pow Wow, Anna told a little about her father, Solomon:
"Mrs. Anna McKibben recalls that her father, Solomon Quapaw lived about where the seat for the new pow-wow grounds are built on the hillside. At that time she was a little girl going to school at St. Mary's school, just over the hill from Beaver Springs. Walking home after school, she would stop for a drink at the springs. Then there was a crystal-pure stream of water gushing from the rocks at the foot of a steep hill. It rushed down a little ravine and flowed into Rock creek."
