FAMILY SEARCH. When Joseph Lamoni Holbrook was born on 12 September 1880, in Bountiful, Davis, Utah, his father, Joseph Hyrum Angell Holbrook (1854-1929), was 26 and his mother, Catherine Cooper (1859-1922), was 21. He married Sarah Leola Wilkes (1890-1964) on 18 December 1907, in Afton, Uinta, Wyoming, They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 3 daughters - William Thede - Glen Wilkes - Dortha - Blaine Wilkes - Beth - Helen. He lived in Marysville, Fremont, Idaho in 1930 and Marysville Election Precinct, Fremont, Idaho in 1940. He died on 29 December 1949, in Ashton, Fremont, Idaho, at the age of 69, and was buried in Ashton, Fremont, Idaho on 2 January 1950.

PASSAGE. Joseph L. Holbrook, resident of Ashton, Idaho for the past 23 years, died thursday at his home of a lingering illness. He is survived by his widow and 6 sons and daughters. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Ashton ward/

Joe was remembered by a good many of the people of Star Valley, Wyoming, having lived in the valley for many years on the Holbrook ranch between Grover and Auburn, which Porter Clark now owns.

Mrs. Holbook will also be remembered as she was the former Ola Wilkes of Afton and spent most of her early life in Afton. The Holbrooks moved to Marysville, Idaho a good many year ago.
