FRANKFORT - Ezra Thomas Chaille, 90, former owner of Chaille Electric Co. here, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 1979, in Indiana Masonic Home at Franklin. He had been in ill health one year and a resident of the Home since 1972. Born in Boone County, he had also lived at Bloomington and at Elizaville where he operated Uncle Ezra grocery store for 20 years. In 1915 he was married to Verlia I. Evans, who died in 1973.

Mr. Chaille was a member of Frankfort First Christian Church, a 50-year member and past master of Clinton Lodge 54, and Knights Templar. He also was a member of Scottish Rite, York Rite and Shrine.

Surviving are a son, Robert L. Chaille of Rockledge, FL; two daughters, Jessie L. Chaille of Little Rock, AR, and Mrs. James Phillippe of Indianapolis; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Service Jan. 5 in Goodwin Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. William Davidson officiating; internment Greenlawn Memory Park.
