Eugene L. "Bunny" Decker, 61, of Fairmont (Norway Community), passed from this life Tuesday (Dec. 8, 2009) at Ruby Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Fairmont on Jan. 5, 1948, a son of the late George and Juanita Bagwell Decker.

Bunny was a member of the Benton's Ferry United Methodist Church. He was co-owner of the Decker Residential Board and Care. He formerly worked for the City of Fairmont; was a milkman for Bunner's Dairy and Fikes Dairy through Middletown Foods. He was a member of the Future Farmers of America, Moose Lodge No. 1054, the B.P.O. Elks of Mannington and the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Weston. He loved his horses and camping. He enjoyed cooking and watching the Food Network. More than anything else, he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.

Mr. Decker is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Karen Yates Decker; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Karen and Paul Sell of Jonestown, Pa., Laura and Mike Riggleman, Shelly and Eric Mallamo and Tory Decker and her companion Bobby Nichols all of Fairmont; two sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Sally White of Perry, Iowa, and Kenny and Beverly Decker of Fairmont; two brothers, James P. Guidash and wife Patty of Wilmington, Del., and George Decker and wife Tonya of Fairmont; two sisters, Bonnie Jean Sheets of Louisville, Texas, and Virginia Hamilton and husband Frank of Fairmont; 16 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Robert Sheets.

Friends may call at the Frey Home For Funerals (Addition Chapel), 320 Madison St., Fairmont, today from 2-8 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Chris Duckworth officiating. Interment will follow at the Clermont cemetery.
