Amy Guggenmos, 89 a resident of Olympia since 1937, died of natural causes Friday, Jan. 6, 1989, in St Peter Hospital, Olympia.
She was born Aug. 11, 1899, to Ivan and Orilla (Lary) Botts in Ord, Neb. She was graduated from Ord School in 1919. On June 10, 1920 she was married to Samuel B. Guggenmos.
Mrs. Guggenmos had been a school teacher in Nebraska.
Surviving are two sons, Dale, Olympia, and Duane, Federal Way; two sisters, Blanche Inness, Ord, and Deane Botts, Woodriver, Neb.; a brother Larry Botts, Woodriver; also five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A graveside service for Mrs. Guggenmos will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday Jan. 10, in Olympic Memorial Gardens, Tumwater. The Rev. Coriless Hanson will officiate. Arrangements are by Mills and Mills Funeral Directors.
