Mrs. Amelia Oesterline Nicholas, 81, of 128 E. Palm Drive, Landland, Fla., formerly of Butler, died yesterday in the Morrell Memorial Hospital, Lakeland.
Mrs. Nicholas was the widow of Orrin H. Nicholas Transfer Company of Butler. She an her husband moved to Florida in 1942, and Mr. Nicholas officially retired from active direction of the company in1 943. He died in 1946 in Florida. The couple was married in 1895 in Washington, D.C.
Born in Summit Township, Dec. 1, 1875, Mrs. Nicholas was a daughter of Peter and Katherine Shoup Oesterling. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church prior to her marriage; and afterward, of St. Paul's Reformed Church, Butler. Since moving to Florida, she had been a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church of Lakeland.
Mrs. Nicholas formerly resided at 324 S. McKean St., Butler.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James H. Kelly of Tarzana, Calif.; 4 sons, Ralph A. Nicholas, Sr, Orrin Henry Nicklas, Jr and Charles W. Nicholas, Sr all of Butler, and Robert Edward Nicholas of Quadalajara, Mexico; two sisters, Mrs. C.R. Thompson of New Castle, and Mrs. W.W. Miller of Butler; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

North at McKean St., from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday from the funeral home, with the Rev. W. Carl Bogard, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiting. Burial will be in North Cemetery. Arrangements by Thompson-Paul
