Etta Gertrude McDonald Funeral services for Mrs. Etta Gertrude McDonald, 84, of Carrollton were held Wednesday, July 17, 1985, at 2 p.m. from Williams and Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Burial was in Longview Cemetery in Carroll County. Mrs. McDonald died at Care Inn Nursing Home in Greenwood after a lengthy illness. She was a resident of Carrollton for 50 years and a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. John Thomas Lott of Vicksburg and Mrs. James Hamilton of West Point ; three sons, Rube Williamson and James Lonnie Bowers, both of Carrollton, and Tommy Bowers of Grenada: three sisters, Mrs. Mollie White, Mrs. Rosey Goad and Mrs. L.E. (Tiny) Dahl, all of Charleston, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Norris Corley and the Rev. B.C. Nunn led services. Pallbearers were Leon Weeks, Kenny Weeks, Terry McCullough, Bobby Dahl, Buddy Dahl and Joe Fillyaw.
