The year of death (1932) shown on the headstone is incorrect. The date I am using in place of the incorrect headstone date is from the death certificate of Charles J. "Sonnie" Mounts, which shows he died 02 Jun 1931 instead.

The year of birth (1884) shown on the headstone is incorrect. Charlie's death certificate shows his birth date as 04 Jul 1879. The informant was John Mounts, apparently his son. In grief, sometimes people estimate or just plain get the date wrong. The year date I am using was taken from Pike Co KY School Census 1897 - 1899 in which Charlie's father Jackson Mounts reported Charlie's birth year as 1882 to the school. The 1900 Federal Census for Pike Co KY also shows his birth as July 1882 and Charlie self-reported his own birth date as 04 Jul 1882 on his WWI Draft Registration Card.
