Leona P. Aaron, 97 of Black Rock passed from this life Monday, December 31, 2012 in Walnut Ridge. Born October 25, 1915 near Imboden she was a lifelong resident of Lawrence County and a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Black Rock.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leland B. Aaron; brother, Louie Pruitt; sisters, Ada Holder, Pasha Atwood, Pansy Marchbanks, Louise Martin and Kathleen Birmingham.
She is survived by one son, L.B. Aaron and wife Donna of Black Rock; grandson, Keith Aaron also of Black Rock and granddaughter, Joy Callahan of Portia.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Black Rock with Harold Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Forest Cemetery in Black Rock under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.
Visitation is Wednesday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the House Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge.
