Nancy Benbow Strider, 90, of 1240 Nance Rd., Franklinville, died Monday, December 12, 2011 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation Center in Asheboro.

Funeral Services, 2 pm, Thursday, December 15, 2011, at Cedar Falls Baptist Church, Cedar Falls.

Officiating, Rev. Russell Chrisco.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.

She was a native of Randolph County NC, an Army veteran of WWII, and retired from Newport News Ship Building in Newport News VA. She was a former member of Clearview Baptist Church in Newport News and a current member of Cedar Falls Baptist Church in Franklinville. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Pete Benbow and Paul Strider, son, Michael Benbow, and stepson, Dean Strider, and brothers, John, Frances, Franklin, and Newton Wicker, and sister, Bessie Wicker

Survivors: son, Max B. Benbow, and wife, Lillie, of Asheboro, sisters, Margaret Anderson and Doris Cain, both of Randleman, Irene Hunt, of Asheboro, brothers, William Wicker and Lewis Wicker, both of Randleman, step daughter, Betty Spivey, of Asheboro, granddaughter, Jennifer Benbow Percival, great granddaughter, Eden Charis Percival.

Visitation after the service in the church Fellowship Hall, other times at the home of Max Benbow, 1240 Nance Rd., Franklinville.
