Mrs. Rhoda McDaniel. The entire community is in a cloud of sorrow, occasioned by the death of Mrs. Rhoda McDaniel. After an illness of about ten days she was called to her reward February 26, 1902. She leaves a devoted husband and two children, one a boy of six years and a dear little babe ten days old. Mrs. McDaniel united with the M. church of Michigan Valley three years ago. She at once took up the duties of Christian life, was a regular attendant at the church services, and a good listener. The pure and lofty standard of living which she constantly maintained was the peculiar charm of her quiet life. She had a sympathetic, unselfish heart, and . found special delight in remembering her family with tender ministries. Rhoda was a faithful, loving wife and mother a true friend, a good neighbor and exemplary Christian and in her death the church loses a faithful and honored member. Rev. Hart conducted the services and preached a very touching and able sermon from the text "She hath done what she could." The choir furnished the music, rendering three very beautiful selections. A host of relatives and warm friends will miss her departure out of the cloud-land into the sun -laud.
