Josephine Ida (Rotermund) Hetu, age 100 of Monroe, died at 3:05 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at Elderly Solutions.
Friends may visit at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rupp Funeral Home where The Rosary and a Prayer Service will begin at 3:30 p.m. Additional services and interment will be held Saturday in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Born March 16, 1912 in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of Ralph and Bernice (Trivisonno) Morgano. She married Edward Rotermund, Jr. on June 18, 1932 in Chicago. He died October 15, 1977. She later married John V. Hetu in 1981 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He died Jan. 6, 1998.
Josephine was employed as a secretary for Crane Company of Chicago for 27 years, retiring in 1969. She was a member of St. Michael Church and its Altar Society.
Josephine liked to travel and enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, sewing, square dancing, gardening, and doing crossword puzzles.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews including Laura (Gerald) Worley and Patty (Scott) Hochradel, both of Monroe, and a step-daughter, Barbara (Charles) Chirillo of Chicago, Illinois.
In addition to her husbands, Josephine was preceded in death by three brothers, Anthony, Louis, and Del Morgano, and four sisters, Adeline McDermott, Florence Callero, Elizabeth Rowe, and most recently Anne Gargano.
