Anne M. Gargano, 85 of Monroe died at 4:05 p.m. Friday at the Lutheran Home. She had been in poor health for one month.
Friends may call from 1:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Rupp Funeral Home where a rosary service will be led by the altar society at 2 p.m.; there will also be a wake service at 5:30 p.m. Anne will lie instate at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic Church with the Mass of the resurrection at 10 a.m. Rev. Stephen Vileo, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Born January 12, 1927 in Chicago she was the daughter of Ralph and Bernice (Trivisano) Margano. She married William H. Gargano on May 8, 1948 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on April 15, 2000.
Anne was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, the altar society and was instrumental in starting the funeral luncheon volunteer program. She also served on the parish council and coached C Y O girl's basketball for many years. Church and family were Anne's life.
Surviving are her daughters, Laura (Gerald) Worley and Patty (Scott) Hochradel both of Monroe; grandchildren Morgan (Terry) Davis, Nicholas Worley, Billy Hochradel and Christopher Hochradel; great grandson Ty Davis; sister, Josephine Hetu of Monroe.
She was preceded in death her husband; son, Bill Gargano; three brothers and three sisters.
Anne's family would like to thank Mercy Memorial Hospice and the staff of the Lutheran Home for all their love and support.
