He was a member of Egypt United Methodist Church and was a retired employe of B. F. Goodrich in Akron, Ohio. Mr. Hively was a World War I veteran.
Surviving: wife, Rosa Wright Hively; daughters, Mrs. Moselle O'Brien of Spencer, Mrs. Evelyn McClure of Medina, Ohio; sons, Robert of Akron, Ohio, James of Charleston; sisters, Mrs. Jennie Taylor and Mrs. Carrie Lowe, both of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Hazel Snyder of Tucson, Ariz., Mrs. Beatrice Short of Valley Fork, Mrs. Ova Morrison of Spencer; brothers, Herbert and Eli Hively, both of Spencer, Homer of Parkersburg; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2:30 p.m. today in Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Paul Vineyard officiating. Burial will be in Eventide Cemetery, Spencer.
