SUDDEN DEATH AT BEDFORD CITY
Death came very suddenly on Sunday afternoon to Mr. Charles Anspaugh, an aged and highly respected citizen of Bedford City. One of Mr. Anspaugh's daughters happened to visit her father's room about 2 o'clock in the afternoon and found him lying on his bed with a book in his hands. Approaching closer she was shocked to find that her father had passed away. The deceased was at one time one of the most prominent dry goods merchants of Bedford City, but retired from business several years ago. He was sixty-six years of age, and had always taken an active interest in current events. He is survived by his wife and four children. Mr. Dan Aunspaugh, who is assistant depot agent at Bedford City; Mr. Walter Aunspaugh, who is with the Southern Express Co., in Lynchburg, and Misses Annis and Norma Aunspaugh. The deceased was a uncle of Messrs. Edward and Albert Stone, of this city. Messrs. Stone went down to Bedford City yesterday afternoon to attend the funeral and the establishment of the Stone Printing Company was closed as a mark of respect.
