"Pee Wee" Forsythe, 91, of Libertyville died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, 1997, in Meadows Manor North Nursing Home in Terre Haute. He was a carpenter out of carpenter's local 133. He was born Dec. 15, 1905 in Edgar County, Ill., to Thomas Goodman Forsythe and Margaret Laufman Forsythe. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, oral Lillian Graham Forsythe, whom he married Nov. 24, 192, in Terre haute; five daughters, Janet Kirsch of Paris, Ill., Jo Anna Crable of Salina, Kan., Arnib Caples of Pensacola, Fla., Ida rose Armstrong of Anderson, and Nancy Wilson of New Goshen; three sons, Jack Forsythe of Terre haute, Wayne Forsythe of New Goshen and Donald E. Forsythe of Clinton; 24 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, five sisters and two grandchildren. He was a member of church of Christ. Services are 2 p.m. CST Wednesday in Stewart & Carroll Funeral Home. Burial is in Little Grove cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. The family suggests that, if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
