Everett E. Herin 90, of Hesperia, went to be with our Lord Wednesday at his home. Everett was born July 5, 1922, in Ferry, to Alice and Henry Herin and later married Iva Jean Spoon Oct. 24, 1942, in Shelby and together had four sons. Everett was the co-founder of Herin Bros. Trucking in Hesperia and was past president of the National Council of Independent Truckers. He had also served as Oceana County Commissioner and was a veteran of the US Army where he served during WWII. Together with his wife, they spent 18 winters at Mobile Gardens in Mission, Texas where he was a handyman to everyone. Everett enjoyed playing cards and working in his yard.

SURVIVORS : his wife of 70 years, Jean; his son, Roger (Judy) Herin of Hart; his grandchildren, Amanda (Josh) Eaves and David (Lacey) Herin both of Hesperia; step-grandchildern, Melissa (Dwight) Fuehring and Lisa Andritsis of Hart; 10 great-grandchildren; his brother, Darrol (Veva) Herin of Hesperia; sister, Betty (Ed) Dean of Hesperia; sister-in-law, Mae Snook; foster daughter, Alice Snyder; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his sons, Brian, David, and Gordon Mitchell Herin; sisters, Julia Blohm, Virginia Mallison and Ruth Archer; and his brother, Henry Herin Jr. Interment in West Hesperia Cemetery.
