Pvt. John H. Huffman or Hoffman who died after the the Battle of Kernstown, Frederick Co., VA Was a Pvt., Co., G, 33 Reg't VA Inf.

Battle was on 23 March 1862. He was taken prisoner and died of wounds. He was initially buried in the German Reformed Graveyard in Winchester, VA. Family members went to Winchester following his death and returned his remains to Mt. Jackson.
