MILLER - Funeral service for Earl W. Johnson, 48, who died Thursday at Hand County Memorial Hospital, will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. David A. Belzer will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. The body will lie in state Sunday afternoon and evening at Reck Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Kenneth Johnson, Charles Droz, Elmer Meilan, Dave Edwards, Neil Yost and Lawrence Yost.

Johnson was born May 28, 1924 in Miller to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Johnson. He attended rural school in south Hand County and was graduated from Miller High School in 1942. He married Margaret McCarl on Dec. 22, 1945 in Miller.

He spent his entire life farming and ranching in south Hand County. He was a charter member of Pleasant Valley Presbyterian Church.

Johnson is survived by his widow; a son, Randy Lynn, and a daughter, Mary Ellen, both at home; three sisters, Mrs. Clemmet (Vivian) Johnson, Mrs. Wallace (Darlene) Johnson and Mrs. Lowell (Donna) Droz, all of Miller.
