Roy Wilson Bush, 64, was born September 29, 1948 in Bastrop. He passed away on December 24, 2012 where he wanted to be at home in the woods.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at Golden's Funeral Home in Bastrop, LA. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday at Harmony Baptist Church in Collinston, LA with Bro. Dale Jordan and Bro. Alan Eppinette officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery.
Those who knew Roy knows that he loved God, family, friends, hunting and gardening. He especially enjoyed sharing his garden harvest with others.
Roy is survived by his best friend and wife of 46 years, Gloria Barker Bush; a son, Dewayne and Marcie Bush of Long Beach, MS and their children, Katie, Trace and Gracie Bush; a son, Clay and Deneen Bush of Monroe, LA, and their children, Amanda and Nicholas Bush, Wesley and Joshua Copeland, Matt and Hannah Copeland and their son, Braylon; sisters, Ida Hall, Joyce Rainbolt, Ginger and Jerry Musgrove; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends; and a special Uncle and Aunt, Pete and June Bush of Hurst, TX.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Benoit and Betsy Bush; and a brother, Sherman Edward Bush.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Nicholas Bush, Trace Bush, nephews, Jason Musgrove, Clay Murphy, friends, Calvin Lusby, and Tommy Sowyers. Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley and Joshua Copeland
