Deacon Thomas Fuller, s. of Timothy Fuller & his 2nd wife Mary Champion, b. of record June 24, 1726 at East Haddam, Conn. He would become a deacon of the East Haddam Cong. Ch. before relocating circa 1770 to Hartland, Conn. where he also was a deacon of the church. He d. June 28, 1797 at Hartland, Æt. 72, not Æt. 71 as inscribed on his gravestone.

On Nov. 15, 1797 of record at East Haddam, Conn., Thomas m. Hannah Dimock, eldest surviving dau. of Samuel Dimock & Hannah Davis, b. of record Nov. 26, 1728 at Barnstable, Mass. She d. at Hartland, Conn. Feb. 28, 1819, Æt. 91, not Æt. 90 as inscribed on her gravestone.

The eight known children of Dea. Thomas Fuller and Hannah Dimock, all b. of record at East Haddam, Conn. and all dexcept one child bap. at the East Haddam Church, are:

• i. Eliphalet Fuller, b. Sept. 22, 1749, d. Mar 26, 1821 at Litchfield, NY (g.s.); m. 1) Nov. 22, 1770 of record at East Haddam, Conn., Thankful Sparrow, dau. of John Sparrow and Anna Atwood, b. Jan, 2, 1744/45 at Eastham, Mass. She d. at Hartland, Conn. Oct. 7, 1782. Only one child is known of record by this marriage, a child b. and d. stillborn at Hartland, Conn. Sept. 15, 1782 (Hartland Ch. Rec.) In April 1783 (the day not given) of record at the East Haven, Conn. Church, Eliphalet m. 2) Anna Bradley, the wid. of Josiah Bradley and dau. of Capt. Amos Morris and Lydia Camp. She was b. of record as "Ame" Morris Feb. 19, 1747/8 at New Haven, Conn. and d. in Aug. 1836 at Litchfield, NY (g.s.) Two children of the marriage. Anna had five older children by her 1st husband.

• ii. Samuel Fuller, b. Oct. 10, 1751, d. Apr. 4, 1826 at Hartland, Conn. (g.s.); m. Feb, 9, 1778 as his sole wife per the incomplete record at the Portland, Conn. Cong. Ch., Mary Gildersleeve, dau. of Capt. Obadiah Gildersleeve and Mary Dinge, bp. Dec. 25, 1753 at Huntington, Long Island, NY. The date of her death has not been found. They had 8 children of record at Hartland, Conn., the eldest child being son Samuel Dimick Fuller, whose middle name led Lafayette W. Case [Fuller Gen.] to claim that the wife of Samuel Fuller was a Mary Dimock. This child was actually named for his maternal grandfather.

• iii. Bethuel Fuller, b. Jan. 9, 1754 and d. in infancy July 14, 1755.

• iv. Bethuel Fuller, b. Mar. 10, 1756; d. unm. Sept. 19, 1775 while serving in the patriot army during the Rev. War.

• v. Ichabod Fuller, b. Mar.23, 1758; m. Mar. 4, 1784 at East Haddam, Apphia Sparrow, the sister of the 1st wife of Ichabod's brother Eliphalet, b. May 2, 1758 at East Haddam. No further record of them has been found following marriage.

• vi. Hannah Fuller, b. Aug. 15, 1760, poss. d. May 17, 1814 at Granby, Conn.; m. Nov. 20, 1792 at the Hartland Ch., Capt. Benjamin Hayes, of Granby, by whom she had at least three recorded children. Benjamin d. per the Granby Ch. Rec. June 12, 1810 with the widow Hannah poss. m. 2) Mar. 13, 1811 at Granby (Ch. Rec.), Zebina Burr, Jr., whose wife d. May 17, 1814 three mos. after giving birth to a son that d. in infancy (Ch. Rec.)

• vii. Anna Fuller, b. Feb. 11, 1763, d. Apr. 12, 1854 at Gustavus Twp., Trumbull Co. OH (g.s.); m. 1) Apr. 17, 1783 at Hartland, Conn. (Ch. Rec.), Thomas Beman, Jr., s. of Lieut. Thomas Beman and Lydia Roberts, b. on an unrecorded date at Simsbury, Conn. but bp. Oct. 21, 1753 at the Wintonbury Parish Ch. (that parish now the Town of Bloomfield, Conn.) He. d. at Hartland, Conn. July 10, 1826 (Ch. Rec.) Five recorded children of the family. The widow Anna m. 2) Nov. 7, 1826 at Hartland (Ch. Rec.) as his 3rd and last wife, Gideon Perkins of Barkhamsted, Conn. and formerly of north adjoining Hartland, who d. at Barkhamsted June 30, 1828 (Hartland Ch. Rec.) There were no children of this second marriage.

• viii. Mary Fuller, b. Nov. 6, 1770, d. Dec. 15, 1860 at Trumbull Co. OH (g.s.); m. of record Nov 27, 1788 at Hartland, Conn., Asa Haynes, who d. Sept. 1, 1849 at Trumbull Co., OH (g.s.)

Through his father Timothy, Dea. Thomas Fuller was the gr. grandson of Dr. Matthew Fuller late of Barnstable, Mass., the s. of Edward Fuller of the 1620 Mayflower passage. Unlike Dr. Matthew's brother Samuel, who was a passenger with their father aboard the Mayflower, Dr. Matthew did not arrive with his family at the Plymouth Colony until circa 1640.
