John Gordon Bellison, age 83, passed way surrounded by his family December 23, 2012 at his home in Nephi, Utah.

He was born September 18, 1929 in Nephi, Utah to Thomas Clifton and Leora Carlson Belliston. He married Phyllis Anna Jackson May 22, 1950 in the Manti Temple.

He attended Nephi schools. He served in the National Guard. He served a mission for the LDS church with his wife working at the Bishops store house for 18 months. He worked at the Nephi Rubber plant and retired in 1995. He was a home teacher and held many position in the church.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis of Nephi; children, Sandra & Bert Paxman of Nephi; Sheryl & Brent Eyre of Taylorsville; Karen & Rick Wall of Santaquin; daughter-in-law, Dana Belliston; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren; brother, Clifton Belliston. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Bonnie Mitchell, brother Keith Belliston, son Jerry, and grandson, Waylon.

The family wishes to thank his home health nurse Julieann Parkin, people from Hospice, and Dr. Rasmussen and his staff for all their help.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday, December 28, 2012 in the Nephi North Stake Center, 1125 N 400 E. Family and friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 W 300 N Nephi, UT. Interment will be in the Nephi Vine Bluff Cemetery.
