Irene (Bogus) Bubnack, 93, has gone home to join loved ones who preceded her on this journey, Thursday morning, at her home. She had the comfort of her loving and devoted family at her side. She was previously married to Raymond R. Bubnack. She is survived by daughters, Kathleen (Michael) Ashe of Mohawk and Patricia Tyszka (Darin LaDue) of Cicero; son, Richard (Cindy) Bubnack of Kirkville; sister, Wanda Popkowski of DeWitt; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was a loving, caring and generous person; all will miss her incredible sense of humor. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at the Malta Manor and PACE program for all the loving and compassionate care. Services: 8:45 a.m. Monday at Giminski-Wysocki Funeral Home Inc., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Transfiguration Church. Friends and family may call from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home, 1320 West Genesee Street in Syracuse. Contributions in Irene's name may be made to the SPCA, 5878 E. Molloy Road, Mattydale, NY 13211.
